You know that tinting your car’s windows can provide a wide range of benefits. From making your ride look more sleek and mysterious to keeping harsh sunlight and streetlights from blinding you, tinting your vehicle’s windows is a great idea. But did you know that tinting your home’s windows can be an even better idea? That’s right; you can tint the windows throughout your home to provide an even wider range of benefits. Want to know more? Here are a few things you should know about home window tinting:
- Windows can account for 75% of a home’s heat gain in the summer. This means you are running your cooler just to counteract what the windows are doing 75% of the time. While you could shut your blinds to reduce the amount of sunlight entering your home, that’s hardly attractive or comfortable. If you want to save money, pick a level of tinting that fits your lifestyle and needs.
- Many window tints will block harmful UV light from entering your home. That means you will have fewer sunburns and wrinkles due to a decrease in harmful light entering your home. Your belongings will be much better off too. UV light can fade and destroy delicate fabrics and bright colors. A bit of UV tinting can protect your furniture and belongings.
Tinting can range from nearly clear to very dark. Make sure you pick tinting colors that are suited to each specific window.
